OnePlus 15R Pre-Orders Start in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Power

OnePlus has made a big announcement by launching the OnePlus 15R, its latest smartphone, in India, and it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The phone is already available for pre-order on several platforms, including the official OnePlus website, the OnePlus Store app, Amazon, and select offline retail outlets like OnePlus Experience Stores, Reliance Digital, Croma, and Vijay Sales.

OnePlus asserts that the 15R is the first smartphone in the global market to be housed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The company points out the enhancement of the smartphone over its previous version by stating that there has been an increase of 36% in CPU performance, an upsurge of 11% in GPU speed, and an augmentation of 46% in AI processing.

The handset comes packed with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM along with UFS 4.1 storage with a maximum configuration of 512 GB. The screen is a 165Hz LTPS 1.5K AMOLED panel with a touch sampling rate of 3,200Hz. The 7,400mAh battery is also compatible with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology, thus reducing the charging time almost to nothing.

The OnePlus 15R’s camera system comprises a 50-megapixel primary shooter at the back and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. The device also comes with the 360-degree Cryo Velocity Cooling System and is powered by OxygenOS 16.

The starting price for the phone is Rs 47,999 for the model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the 512GB version with 12GB RAM will cost Rs 52,999.

Alongside the launch of the device, OnePlus has collaborated with the esports organization GodLike. The phone manufacturer will be the official device partner for GodLike’s Battlegrounds Mobile India team, which is a step towards entering into competitive gaming collaborations strategically.
